Brookgreen Gardens, in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, is a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve which includes several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures and trails of nature reserves on the 9,100 acre property. It was founded by Archer Milton Huntington and his wife Anna Hyatt Huntington to feature sculptures by Anna and her sister Harriet Hyatt along with other American Sculptors. I was built on a former rice plantation - Brookgreen Plantation. During the Christmas season many of the sculptures and live oak trees are dressed in brilliant lights. It is one of the most popular attractions in South Carolina.
