Karen and Bill Johnson, both lifelong farmers, live on the family farm in western Iowa and farm 1330 acres of corn, soybeans, and alfalfa, and have a 58 head cow/calf herd. They often work 10 to 14 hour days. They have recently been selling a good portion of their corn crop to an ethanol plant near Council Bluffs, Iowa.
